Black Agnes is a high energy rock band based out of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Each member has worked professionally in the area on numerous music-related projects. In addition to being featured on radio and television several times, Black Agnes is known around the seacoast for their energy-packed live performances and their extensive repertoire of songs ranging from the '60s and '70s to today. Mike Dunbar is an award winning singer/songwriter from Hampton, New Hampshire. He has been playing professionally for six years in the seacoast area as both a solo artist and frontman for Black Agnes. In the past two years, Mike has been awarded grants from the Mellon Foundation and the College of the Holy Cross to compose his original music. His work has been featured in the Boston Globe as well as on The River and New Hampshire Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.”
Nico Zottos is the bass player for Black Agnes. He has been playing the bass for eleven years which has led him to a life driven by the playing and creation of music. When Nico isn't playing with Black Agnes, he can often be found in his home studio producing and recording local talent. Nico currently attends Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studies Music Production & Engineering and Music Business.
Collin Garcia plays guitar and saxophone for Black Agnes. He has been involved in music since he began taking violin lessons at the age of five; since then, he has taught himself guitar, saxophone, and several other instruments. He is a graduate of Saint Anselm College and currently lives in Strafford, New Hampshire. He enjoys listening to and playing many different types of music, and counts Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Jerry Garcia among his favorite guitarists.
Brian Finnell has always had a passion for percussion. He started playing on the drum set when he was seven years old and hasn't stopped since. He has received various competitive music awards throughout his education. He currently attends Florida Institute of Technology and continues to participate in the music department there. His influences include Carter Beauford, Keith Moon, Cobus Potgieter, and Art Blakey.
